A Flour Yield programme at TarCasso Field Lab

Give back to the soil.

On a real field in Friuli, we spread basalt rock dust to remineralise the soil and document every step. FYT holders can take part in two ways.

Basalt rock dust is finely ground volcanic rock. It rests on the topsoil and releases minerals over time.

What your contribution supports

Flour Yield runs and funds the basalt work at TarCasso Field Lab. The field is applied, measured and documented whether or not anyone contributes. That is deliberate: the soil work does not depend on token sales, and no contribution buys a quantity of basalt.

Your contribution is a public commitment to that work. You burn FYT, which removes it permanently. In return you become a named participant of the field season. Each season's application is dedicated to its participants, and your name appears on the season record if you wish.

Why burn instead of pay? A burn is visible to anyone on the blockchain, cannot be reversed and cannot be spent by us. It is a statement you can prove, not a purchase.

From your burn to the field record

  • You burn FYTRecorded on the blockchain with your wallet, amount and time.
  • You registerWe match the burn to you and send a participation confirmation.
  • The season's applicationFlour Yield applies basalt at the field and documents it with video and a field log.
  • The season recordPublished with the field documentation and the list of participants.
Not included: a quantity of basalt per contribution, a CO₂ removal or offset, a carbon credit, or any financial return.

The field and its progress

The TarCasso Field Lab in Cassacco, Friuli is a field pilot for basalt-based soil remineralisation and regenerative agriculture. Each parcel is documented by crop, basalt dosage, soil response and yield.

    Choose an amount

Any amount is welcome. If you like, size it to your travel footprint with the guide below. It is optional.

    Optional: your activities

Short-haul flights are up to about 3,700 km. Emission estimates use UK DEFRA 2025 conversion factors in kg CO₂e per km. Flights include the effect of high-altitude emissions. Car values are per vehicle, not per passenger.

So we can send your participation confirmation. Your wallet and transaction are filled in automatically after a wallet burn.

Helps us find your burn faster.

    What you receive

Right after you register, you receive a participation confirmation by email. After the season's field application, you receive your certificate with the documented results of the season. Plot Plan holders receive a certificate for their own parcel.

    Example values
Example season certificate: Alex Example took part in the 2027 field season, in which 48 tonnes of basalt rock dust were applied at TarCasso Field Lab
Season figures are the documented total for the whole field and all participants. They are not a quantity per contribution.

    What makes it official

Each certificate carries a unique number, the place and date of issue, the signatures of Flour Yield and TarCasso Field Lab, and a QR code that opens your transaction on the blockchain. Anyone can check it.

The figures come from the field documentation of the season. They are only printed once the application has taken place and been recorded.

    Plot Plan

Your own parcel at the field, for one season

Book a parcel in the demonstration areas and pay with FYT. The TarCasso team cultivates it with basalt, keeps you updated through the season, invites you to a field day and sends you a fixed harvest box.

    Included

    • A named parcel for one seasonIn demonstration area TC-P09 or TC-P10, with your name or logo on the parcel sign.
    • Cultivation by the TarCasso teamPlanting, care and basalt application according to the field protocol.
    • Season updatesPhotos and field notes from your parcel and its demonstration area.
    • A field dayVisit, help with the work or the harvest in Cassacco.
    • A fixed harvest box–

A service, not a lease. The Plot Plan is a cultivation and experience package supplied by TarCasso. You do not rent or own land and get no right to use, enter or harvest the field outside the field day.

The box is fixed. Its contents do not depend on the yield of your parcel. If a crop fails, TarCasso fills the box with comparable products from its own range.

The research stays independent. Plot Plan parcels are only in the demonstration areas. The trial parcels and their basalt dosages are not affected by any booking.

FYT as payment. You pay a fixed price in FYT to TarCasso for this service. FYT is used here as the means of access to a service. It does not represent the parcel, the land or the harvest.

    Customer gifts

Participation as a gift, for example one participant per booking or order, with a confirmation for each recipient.

    Team gifts

Participation for your employees, for example for a company event or a year-end gift.

    Joint campaigns

A shared campaign with field visit, video material and wording we agree together and review for compliance.

    • Sending your participation confirmation and informing you about delays.

    We do not promise

    • A CO₂ offset, removal or climate neutrality, or any carbon credit.
    • A quantity of basalt per token or per contribution.
    • A financial return or the return of burned tokens.
Who is responsible for this programme?

    –

When do I receive my confirmation?

We send your participation confirmation by email within – working days after you register. The season record with field documentation follows after the season's application.

What happens if the field application is delayed?

Field work depends on weather, soil conditions and permits. If the planned application moves, we inform all registered participants by email and publish the new date here. Your participation stays valid and is assigned to the next completed application.

    Terms of participation

A contribution is a voluntary burn of FYT. It is final and cannot be reversed or refunded. It creates no claim against Flour Yield or any partner, no right to basalt, land, crops or revenue, and no carbon credit or certificate. FYT is a utility token and does not represent or reference any asset.

The suggestion in step 2 is a guide for sizing a voluntary contribution. It is not based on CO₂ removal and does not offset emissions. You may contribute any amount.

    Privacy note

When you register, we store your wallet address, email, optional name and optional transaction. We use them only to send your confirmation, to inform you about the season and, if you agree, to list your name on the season record. We do not sell or share your data. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Your wallet address and burn are public on the blockchain by nature and cannot be deleted from it.

    Plot Plan terms

The Plot Plan is a service package supplied by TarCasso for one season: cultivation of a named parcel in a demonstration area, season updates, one field day and one harvest box with fixed contents. It is not a lease or rental of land and gives no right to possess, use or enter the land, and no share in its yield.

The price is fixed in FYT and paid to TarCasso's payment address. Payment is final once the season has started. If TarCasso cannot provide the season, for example because of weather or permits, you can move your booking to the next season or receive the FYT back.

The parcel does not affect the research parcels. FYT does not represent the parcel, the land, the harvest or any other asset.

What is the difference between a contribution and a Plot Plan?

A contribution is a voluntary burn: the FYT is permanently removed from circulation and you become a named participant of the season. A Plot Plan is a purchase: you pay FYT to TarCasso and receive a defined service and a harvest box.

    What does "burn" mean here?

Burned FYT are sent to the Flour Yield Earth burn vault, a smart contract on Ethereum with no owner and no withdrawal function. Nobody can ever move them again, so they are permanently removed from circulation.

FYT has no built-in burn function, so the total supply recorded in the FYT contract does not change. The amount in the vault is public and can be checked on Etherscan at any time.

How do I know the burn address is genuine?

The address is a smart contract with no owner and public code on Etherscan. It is published on this site and on flour-yield.com. Always compare both before you send, and never use an address sent to you in a private message.
